Renata Jones: Remembering Alice

Renata Jones knew Alice Windom at an event in St. Louis that was organized by the black community. Jones admired how knowledgeable Windom was when it came to history and her willingness to work with the community towards a greater good. Jones also made mention of her various trips to Africa. She mentioned that every African American should visit once in their lifetime since the people are quite welcoming and there is a rich history where they can understand how their people were treated. It further highlights their journey towards the Americas with the various historical buildings that are still standing in the nation today. Jones today does advocacy work in the Washington DC area. The general items shown in this part of the page are African-focused focused as that is where Jones traveled and is what most of the interview pertains to.
