Landscapes of Hope Collecting Forms

You will contribute four sites to the map: a personal site, a contemporary site, a historical site, and a future sight–meaning a site that currently faces barriers that need attention.

You’ll gather information about 1) a place in your community where you experience hope (personal); 2) a place where you have seen others enacting hope (contemporary); 3) a historical example of hope; 4) a place you have identified where hope is possible (future). Enter each type of site and its information in the collecting forms below. You may complete one at a time, though you will want to complete each one from start to finish. I recommend you prepare the information in a word document and paste into the form. This step will avoid the chance of losing your work.

Each site should be a specific place, but it is okay to highlight it because of a memory, activity, event, etc associated with that place. (For example, you might discuss how you find hope in the Missouri Historical Society because of Thursday concerts.) If you visit the site to gather information, take notes on who visits/is in the audience, sensory experiences, or any other information you find relevant. Take a photo that will showcase the place you’ve chosen; this photo will serve as the thumbnail on the map. You might also include sound clips to include on the map.
