Landscapes of Hope

Collected Item: “Missouri Botanical Garden”

Future Site

Missouri Botanical Garden

In a few sentences, describe what you imagine in this location to bring hope.

The Missouri Botanical Garden was chosen as my site for future hope because the garden itself is important to the future of many plant species. The Botanical Gardens grow plants that are rare and or nearly extinct providing hope for the future of these plants and the ecosystem. They have several trees which are nearly extinct in the Climatron. This is vital for the hope of future ecosystems. The Missouri Botanical Garden also inspires hope in people visiting with their plant collections. This helps give people a sense of future hope by showcasing these rare and diverse species raising awareness and interest.

Optional information if the item should be "footnoted" or credited.

A photo I took in the Climatron of two tree ferns. These are one of my favorite types of trees and ferns. They are a very large species of fern from Australia. I recently visited Australia and was able to see these tree ferns up close there. These are one of my favorite plant species.
