A few sentences about the site - or the event, person, or organization tied to the site. Why this site? Why does it belong on the Landscapes of Hope map?

I chose the Laumeier Sculpture Park as my contemporary hope site because it is an incredible display of public art that is entirely for free. As St. Louisans, we are so lucky to have so many free and easy to access places at our disposal, and the Laumeier Sculpture Park is one of the many. I have seen others enacting hope here through exposure to the arts. I have personally been coming to the park since I was a child, and it gave me, as well as my siblings and so many other kids, their first introduction into public art and its importance. Overall, I think this park is a great representation of how teaching can be a form of enacting hope.
