A few sentences about the site - or the event, person, or organization tied to the site. Why this site? Why does it belong on the Landscapes of Hope map?

The Griot Museum highlights black resilience and creativity. Through several exhibits on local activists, artists and historical figures, it shows the rich tradition that St. Louis's African American community has going back several generations. This museum is a living archive of struggle and triumph in the face of overwhelming hardships. This is a space where hope is actively curated and celebrated. There are several events held here every month that include community storytelling and youth-led tours.
