Wang Dang Doodle Stand By Me · WRSTL PLACE

Title: Wang Dang Doodle Stand By Me
Description: In this 14-minute clip, you experience not only two blues classics from different eras, but hear the banter between musicians and even some light heckling from the audience. The recording is part of the National Blues Museum's Sitting on the Porch series, which follows the tradition of informal jam sessions with traveling musicians stopping by to play with the local musicians. The structures of the blues allow some structure to the performance, but also room for improvisation. Stylistically, the two vocalists are very different but both songs can be interpreted as the blues.
