- Title
- Poet and Scholar Jason Vasser, Interview on the Ferguson Experience, Language, and Justice
- Description
-
This interview with poet and scholar Jason Vasser is a version of an oral history interview called a “literacy narrative.” Literacy narratives prompt people to share experiences with communication broadly defined–how people read, write, speak, and rhetorically engage with the world around them.
This literacy narrative focuses in particular on how language and other communicative practices shape conversations about and understandings of the 2014 Ferguson Uprising. This narratives was shared in the spring of 2015, so Vasser offers a first-hand, close-to-the-event perspective. - Creator
