Title

Painting "Depth" by Hannah Stewart

Description

Painting, "Depth," by Hannah Stewart. To create this work, the artist used their bare breasts to imprint blue circular shapes over a primarily orange background. "Depth" is part of a series of paintings that were created in a similar fashion and explore questions of bodily autonomy and sexual consent. According to the artist, this painting is a "celebration of the desexualization of my breasts." Its companion piece is "Primary," also in the collections of the Missouri Historical Society.
